I came across Rebecca Adams‘ work on BOOOOOOM! this week. And Since I haven’t lifted anything from that site in a while, I thought I would share. The dramatic lighting in these quasi-photo realistic paintings, coupled with the monochromatic format really does it for me. See more here.

Why not paint buck’s heads onto the bodies of bucksome women? A-Raj could have come up with a much better pun than that. Hey, at least I gave it a shot. I’m really digging this set by Emily Burns, wherein she paints the heads of big game animals onto pin-up style humans. Check out the rest of the set on BOOOOOOM!.

Last week, Boooooom! ran post called 64 photos by 64 photographers. It is a collection of photos that Jeff (the author of Boooooom!) discovered during the calendar year of 2012. Each of them is by a different photographer. If you are into photography, you should definitely check out the piece. One of my faves is above. It is an image by Daniel Kukla.
